Who are Mongy and Weasel?

Mongy came to live with us when my daughter was 2 and a half. He just turned up one day and decided to stay. Weasel joined a few months later and seemed to get on well with both my daughter and Mongy so we said it was fine for her to stay too. They both seemed happy to attend play group and ballet lessons with my daughter and she enjoyed having friends to play with.

Shortly before my son was born, Bigley came to visit and he decided to join our household too. 

Five years later they still come and stay sometimes ut now play with my 3 year old son. They have very much become part of the family, always well behaved and no trouble at all.

But I couldn't tell yo what they look like as they're imaginary friends and I've never seen them!

The story behind how we started...

As a Mum of two young children, both of whom love to dance, act and sing at every opportunity. I know what it is like to be asked to find clothing the can be used as a costume in school plays, concerts, show and carnivals.... 

The first time I received a request for costume items, the note said 'your daughter is going to be an elephant in the school play Please provide a long sleeve grey top and trousers by FRIDAY! - NO LOGOS'. And this was Monday Evening! 

Where could I get these items from and how quickly? 

An idea was formed!

Wouldn't it be better if you could easily buy inexpensive, plain t-shirts, shorts and trousers in a wide range of colours? The children could wear them as play clothes or pyjamas after the concert. They could be decorated, using fabric pens, crayons or paints. The more I looked into it the more I was convinced that this WAS a good idea- Mongy and Weasel were in business!
